A thermal scan can show what is going on with your building underneath the surface by picking up on subtle temperature differences. It does not see through any element of a building. It picks up infra-red emissions. Heat-loss, draughts, damp, missing insulation, leaking flat roofs, overheating electrics, etc can all be detected with the right equipment.
